John has aluminum-louvered windows with broken window cranks. Did I mention they were 40 years old?
None too easy to replace. Not because the parts are hard to install (although they can be), just finding the right parts can be down right frustrating. Replacement window cranks come in a plethora of styles, sizes, colors, right hand or left hand, and many look very similar to each other.
My experience as a mechanic helps me determine if a part is a correct fit before I order it. Now that John’s window cranks have been replaced, and the mechanisms lubricated, he can easily open up his windows for the first time in many years.
Send me, Andrew Jones, to that person who is down about not being able to let the sunshine in! 🙂
