To repair or replace? That is the question.
Case in point: We have a client we have been advising about an exterior door jamb repair.
Our client had a write up on an inspection report concerning some water damage at the brick moulding and bottom of the door jamb. There are actually three different repairs at three different price points for this situation.
- The first, and most costly, is a replacement of the door and casing as a unit.
- The second is replacement of the brick moulding and door jamb on the side that is damaged.
- The third (and most common) is replacement of a section of brick moulding and of the door jamb. (least expensive)
